The buyer performs essential purchasing activities, while compiling and maintaining records of business transactions of the organization, I order to keep the organization’s operations continuity ensuring the availability of the required supplies
Discuss pricing with vendors, establish pricing, request better pricing based on levels
Runs item shortage / requirement reports
Creates processing Purchase Order.
Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of orders
Contacts vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality
Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues as necessary
Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
Evaluates factory/manufacturing and address priorities
Prepares shipping documentation
Understands, address, evaluates and adjust inventory
Understands lean manufacturing chain logic
All Microsoft programs proficiency
Great communication skills
Purchasing and vendor communications
Transportation rates experience
