    Job Summary

    The Senior Staff Accountant researches and analyses accounts. Helps in creation of processes to prepare and review the financial statements and performs general accounting functions which include but are not limited to, financial reports, journal entries, and reconciliations. Liaising with Finance, Treasury, Tax, and other business units within the organization to address and resolve accounting related issues.


    • Prepares and records journal entries with proper justification by compiling and analyzing account information and maintaining supporting documentation.
    • Find and use accounting data to identify accounting issues and discrepancies and collaborate with supervisor to identify solutions
    • Make sure of the completeness of the financial information is captured within the month, prepare accruals if necessary
    • Preparation and maintenance of monthly financial reports including variance analysis of actual versus budget
    • Recording, maintenance, and analysis of fixed assets and deprecation
    • Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review by management by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies
    • Produce reconciliations and analysis associated with intercompany transactions
    • Assist in month end closing and reporting procedures
    • Assist with developing processes, procedures and accounting controls to promote efficiency and ensure data integrity
    • Assist with gathering schedules, necessary documentation, and supporting explanations needed for external audit preparation
    • Performs various special projects as requested by supervisor




    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university is required. Postgraduate studies preferred



    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Accounting & Operational Accounting
    • CPA Certification preferred
    • Proficient knowledge of an ERP System, SAP S/4Hana preferred.  Been part of an ERP Implementation project preferred
    • Proficient in MS Excel
    • Fluent in Spanish is a plus
    • Must have knowledge of and be able to apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to understand and work with foreign currency translation.
    • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to work with large volume of data and presented in a summarized format to management with results and recommendations
    • Must have strong verbal and communication skills and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with management, team members, and business units.
    • Must be able to work independently on assigned projects and responsibilities with limited supervision.
