    Job Summary

    The Manager, Employee Relations is responsible for the connection among employee, manager and the organization’s mission, vision, purpose, values, and goals.  Demonstrates value by understanding and leveraging the employer-employee relationship from both individual and organizational perspectives, developing effective strategies to address appropriate expectations for performance and behavior from employees at all levels.

    Responsibilities

    Employee Relations

    • Provides guidance and counseling to people leaders and employees in order to maximize employees, leaders and organizational effectiveness by listening to issues and concerns and offering solutions that meet the desired objectives. Identifies and uses appropriate alternative dispute resolution techniques.
    • Proactively builds relationships with people leaders and the HR team to help drive successful people strategies and programs.
    • Develops and implements workplace policies for all locations around the globe. Ensures that acknowledgement forms are up to date on all new and revised policies.
    • Conducts HR-related investigations and outlines the applicable corrective actions that are mandated by HR policy. Establishes strategies to address workplace retaliation and violence.
    • Ensures that operations are conducted and are aligned to Company Policies, Performance Standards, Values and Purpose as well as applicable law and regulation. Takes lead roles in corrective action necessary to restore conformity to organization’s corporate programs and standards.  Serves as a role model and actively fosters people leaders and employee awareness and commitment to Company Policies, Performance Standards, Values and Purpose.
    • Evaluates current workplace culture and norms, develops and implements strategies that ensure an effective working environment aligned with company’s goals and objectives. Applies best practices to improve organizational effectiveness.

     

    Employee Engagement

    • Designs, conducts and analyzes employee surveys. Makes recommendations and supports leaders on actions to continue to maintain and/or increase engagement results to insure consistent recognition of Best Place to Work.

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA in human resources, or business preferred
    • 5 years of employee relations, ideally in a regional/global environment
    • Bilingual Spanish Required

      • Relationship Management:  the ability to engage and retain employees through positive interactions that support the mission, vision, purpose, values and goals of the organization
      • Consultation: the ability to effectively provide guidance and influence decisions that balance organizational with individual needs. Ability to collaborate, consult and partner with all levels and work well in a team environment
    • Strong working knowledge of applicable US federal, state and local rules and laws and broad knowledge of global compliance needs.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; strong knowledge of data privacy
    • Ability and comfort of working in a fast paced and rapidly growing environment
