    Job Summary

    The business process manager will work with each business unit to help drive operational excellence and best practice by evaluating, analyzing, designing, measuring, monitoring, controlling and improving business processes.

    They are responsible for championing a continuous improvement culture while engaging each functional business team across the organization (from front line staff to executive leaders) and work collaboratively with them to identify opportunities and creatively innovate and improve the management of their processes using additional tooling, staff, automation or new techniques in alignment with the Company’s strategy.

    This role involves heavy project management and tend to focus on the entire process from beginning to end, introducing innovation into the process that can impact results, enhance profitability and assist the organization to meet its business objectives and goals.


    • Evaluate Existing Business Processes by breaking down various business processes with flowcharts, manuals and other documentation outlining current practices. Get big picture by assembling and analyzing this data and studying ways to make improvements to one or many steps to increase productivity, reduce/avoid costs, improve time management or make needed changes to other aspects of the process
    • Consult with each business unit to understand challenges, identify improvements, and develop strategies to enhance them in a continuous process improvement methodology. Create value and capacity leveraging outsourcing, process optimization and automation.
    • Create Documentation Outlining Process Improvements explaining changes and how to implement them in a way that all those involved in the process can understand.
    • Drive strategic projects across the organization using project management best practices. Interface with business leaders to ensure projects are delivered to end user satisfaction.
    • Manage Improvement Teams and Implementation Processes by working with managers, team members and other employees to ensure that the plan is clear and can be applied quickly and efficiently. Get involved in training staff in these changes.
    • Conduct Ongoing Analyses and continue monitoring and assessing various processes to ensure that they are producing the desired outcomes. Make changes to steps in each process as needed to adjust improvements to reflect better results in production, cost reduction and other targeted outcomes.
    • Collaborate with business unit leaders and internal audit to update or re-writing Departments Standard Operating Procedures and Policies Process, ensure that all employees are familiar with relevant procedural changes and oversee the training of staff and creation of documents addressing new procedures and policies.
    • Standardize SOP format and/or any other process documents.
    • Present and facilitate discussions with senior leadership.


    • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in a related discipline (BSc., Engineering/Operations Management/Business Administration).
    • 5 – 10 years of relevant experience required, preferably consultative experience regarding process improvement/ engineering role in a complex business environment.
    • Experience leading and/or coaching continuous improvement projects. Considered a strong coach on continuous improvement concepts who encourages employees to embrace the new process once it is implemented.
    • Knowledge of diverse business processes
    • Experience with process re-engineering and building project plans, tracking status, risks, issues, action items, and deliverables, and summarizing into overall status reports.
    • PMP certification is a plus.
    • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
    • Experience and knowledge on project management tools, including software programs and online tools to use charts, track workflow, create lists and develop collaborative efforts in process improvement.
    • Ability to develop and design documents including training manuals, process outlines, flowcharts and implementation procedures.
    • Ability to monitor internal controls and make recommendations as needed.
