    Job Summary

    The Quality Control Manager is responsible to create and manage all the quality control processes, systems and technology to ensure all product meets our product quality standards.  The scope of work includes the packaging, finished goods, COA, shipping etc….. The manager is also responsible to understand and work within all regulatory agencies’ quality requirements.  This includes any hazardous materials.  This position will strive to influence and change supply chain processes to deliver quality products while striving to save the company money and product all consumers.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage, investigate and resolve root cause Quality Assurance deviances.
    • Ensure that the operations, processes and procedures that affect product quality and/or integrity comply with standards stablished by the company.
    • Manage and drive QA initiatives to improve Quality Performance regarding, packaging supplies, finished goods, and marketing materials.
    • Develop and implement procedures and systems to ensure high standards, including basic policies, programs and methodologies to ensure quality product and finished goods, packaging.
    • Use all data, available to proactively prevent Quality Control issues.
    • Work with production, distribution, purchasing, R&D. Legal and marketing to set clear policies and procedures pertaining to Quality standards for raw materials, packaging of finished goods, marketing materials and finished goods.
    • Develops and establishes all SOPs for the quality program.
    • Attend Quality Assurance training and certification.
    • Maintain Records of quality control issues.
    • Prepare reports on Quality Assurance performance as required.
    • Manage and develop staff in Quality Assurance procedures.
    • Maintain Training Records.
    • Setting KPIs for the department and individuals within department
    • Create coaching plans to address individual’s performance needs.
    • Manage Supplier Quality standards to ensure they meet or exceed expectations.
    • Be involved in plant visits for quality control reviews
    • Track and maintain data analysis of key metrics and performance data as it relates to the global quality strategy and results.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor’s Degree is required.  Preferred degree in engineering or business.

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Someone who has implemented and run a product quality program
    • 5 to 10 years of quality experience with nutritionals or personal care products
    • 2 to 5 years of managing people
