Job Summary

Monat is looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to partner on a large enterprise IT infrastructure serving its global customer base. The DBA performs day-to-day technical database administration tasks on multiple networked databases to include SQL and MySQL. This includes database design, database structure identification, database schema definition, database access privilege management, database query optimization, documentation, database instance upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and database protection. Duties also includes reviewing data within the database, ensuring user data integrity, maintaining database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and back-up procedures, and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.


  • Manage all SQL and MySQL Server databases on Monat’s cloud.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
  • Ensures that all current systems are configured in compliance with applicable security standards.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance and availability.
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment.
  • Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary.


  • A BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • In depth SQL/MySQL Server Database Administration experience.
  • 4 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
  • 4 years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
  • 4 years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
  • 4 years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success.

  • Good time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Microsoft Certifications preferred.
  • Tableau experience (preferred, but not required).
