Job Summary

The Manager of Security and Safety (Loss Prevention) is responsible for monitoring the security operations for ALCORA Corporation. Implement security policies, regulations, rules, norms and make sure that the environment is safe for employees and visitors.


  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures
  • Develop and implement procedures for minimizing the loss of merchandise, money, or company assets as much as possible
  • Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses
  • Recruit, train and supervise security personnel
  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
  • Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
  • Review reports on incidents and breaches
  • Investigate and resolve issues
  • Create reports for management on security status
  • Analyze data to form proposals for improvement plans
  • Formulate plans regarding employee’s safety, and emergency procedures
  • Develop and maintain face-to-face working relationships with the business operations and HR teams (managing directors, district and center managers, HR managers and specialists) within assigned geographical area of responsibility
  • Consult and coordinate efforts with Legal, HR, Internal Audit and other company department personnel, as well as with vendors and outside regulatory and law enforcement agencies
  • On call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Must take after hours calls (including weekend calls) and handle call offs and situations as arise.
  • Monitors daily activities to ensure they are in conjunction with established building schedule.


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or five years of experience in a corporate security, military or law enforcement position.
  • Proven experience as security manager or similar position for large areas/groups. 
  • Bilingual English-Spanish
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual and stressful circumstances
  • Ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent ability to contribute independently in security operations.
  • Proven experience as security manager or similar position
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and data analysis
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Having good knowledge of security environments and hazards
  • Having experience with loss prevention
  • Schedule availability to work extra hours if it is required
