Job Summary

Monat is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager who is responsible for the activities required to meet quality standards. The individual will also monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system and will produce data and generate reports on performance, measuring against set indicators. This person must also liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the QA system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the quality manager will advise on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.


• Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization

• Assure the reliability and consistency of production by testing/checking processes and final output
• Define, develop and deploy IT quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of IT development
• Set QA compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved
• Supervise QA team, QA engineers and testers including the preparation and delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development activities
• Assess the IT product specifications comparing with customer requirements
• Establish standards and clearly defined quality methods for IT staff
• Set up and maintain control and documentation procedures
• Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training
• Collect and analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters
• Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary
• Supervise technical staff in carrying out tests and checks
• Write technical and management systems reports
• Unite staff of different disciplines and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures
• Liaise with customers to ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers specifications
• Prepare clear explanatory documents such as customers requirements and expectations
• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.


• BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of quality assurance experience, and 3 years at management position
• Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools
• Must have experience in managing and working with distributed team members
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Knowledge of internet and e-business processes, disciplines and standards
• Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must
• Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner
• Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability
• Ability to problem solve/troubleshoot operational issues
• Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills
