Job Summary

The primary focus will be supporting the specific category products to market and ensuring consistency in all areas of Product Development and Product Marketing from formula development and testing to asset development and management. This person needs to be a go getter with a positive attitude, ready to come in and hit the ground running!

Responsibilities

• Supports all initiatives of Product Development and Product Marketing team
• Participates in product ideation process and brainstorming for strategic new launches
• Supports the development of all Product Marketing assets ie: creative brief, Product Communique, campaign briefs, product naming, creative Briefs (artwork primary, secondary, travel/mini sizes, holiday product communiques, black friday communiques, all countries)
• Supports PM on New product kickoff
• Supports PD Marketing on 360 Launch Activation plan (partner with training, digital, creative, promotions, etc
• Supports the execution of all Product Development needs: benchmark selection and requests, product concept briefs, formula tracking, testing, evaluation
• Works closely with all cross-functional departments to ensure project needs are met
• Supports Manager with new category formulas from concept to final approval
• Support Manager and partners closely with Regulatory Affairs to ensure formulas are compliant
• Ensures category projects meet development milestones and project timelines
• Supports Product Marketing in the official artwork review and approval process
• Attends weekly project status meetings and provide updates when appropriate
• Conduct research to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, competitive landscape, and compile data into presentations or reports.
• Manage samples and packaging needed ie: Conferences, PR needs, Creative Photoshoots
• Assists the Product Marketing lead initiatives and tasks when appropriate
• Assist with development of product concept brief documents and manage updates
• Manage internal, consumer and clinical testing with manager’s guidance and compile test results.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in consumer package goods, beauty industry or relevant experience
• Grasp of competitive beauty products and a passion for the industry
• Testing of application and use of skin, hair and wellness products that may contain fragrances, AHAs and/or other active or non-active ingredients
• Keen ability to detect nuances in formulations and to describe them verbally and in writing
• Creative thinker with the ability to analyze marketing and product development challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Extremely organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal communications skills and exceptional writing abilities.
• Ability to handle an ever-changing fast paced work environment
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time with a strong attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs
• Must be able to perform essential functions (with or without an accommodation)
