The Supervisor of Security (Loss Prevention) is responsible for monitoring the security operations for ALCORA Corporation. Assist with the implementation of security policies, regulations, rules, norms and to ensure that the environment is safe for employees and visitors.
• Ability to train and manage loss prevention personnel to meet and exceed company standards.
• Manage fire alarm and CCTV systems. Including meeting with vendors regarding maintenance and repairs.
• Travel to multiple locations as needed to follow up on security matters. Includes overnight travel to domestic and international locations.
• Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions which might endanger its associates, or public safety
• Ensure that daily administrative documentation is kept concise and complete at all times; Maintain all daily assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition
• Respond to all requests for assistance relayed by department heads; complete various company assignments as required; submit reports to Director of Security.
• Oversee and investigate security related accidents/incidents, interview witnesses, complaints, and victims; responsible for gathering physical evidence and preserving it for future use; complete report and follow up with management as needed
• Oversee and assist with crowd control and assisting Fire Department/EMS or other officials during these processes; maintain control at traffic accidents, assist victims, and investigate causes
• Ensure that associates, and facility personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment
• Respond to specific locations in response to burglar alarms calls after hours.
• Attend department meetings with other managers on a regular basis to determine operational needs
• Familiarization with security contractors; managing, assessing and training officers based on company standards and needs.
• Coordinate security functions for events both domestically and internationally.
• Experience with personal security: logistics, personnel and execution.
• High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)
• Experience in advanced reporting writing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Having good knowledge of security environments and hazards
• Minimum 5 years security experience (private/public sector)
• Proven experience as a security manager or similar position y experience is a plus
• Must be able and willing to work extended hours if needed with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills using WORD, EXCEL, ZOOM etc.
• Professionalism in appearance, work ethic, and positive attitude are essential
• Able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time.
