Job Summary

The Manager Engineering, Operations will be responsible for the Production, Facilities and Maintenance of the B&R Products Facilities and related equipment. Responsibilities shall include managing and overseeing multiple facilities, as well as key equipment which supports production, facilities, warehouse and common areas. This position is a full time Exempt position which shall report to the Senior Director, Operations. The position requires to participate in a rotational on-call schedule, to respond to emergency work orders as well as work nights and weekends as required. Will be responsible for coordinating custodial work, facility and equipment preventative maintenance and repairs, asset management and Capital Expenditure planning. The successful candidate will support / interact with production, Quality, Warehouse, Project Manangement, R&D and Contractors.


  • Assign duties and responsibilities to staff and contractors
  • Plan, prepare, and monitor the completion of work, including the implementation of online checklists within the CMMS for various facility and Production equipment and systems that required periodic and/or regular inspections
  • Communicate priorities for all work and ensure completion times are met in accordance with the contract documents
  • Establish procedures and schedules for recurring Equipment maintenance in accordance with the OEM manuals, warranties, and industry best practices.
  • Identify and track all equipment and systems under warranty and ensure warranty provisions are complied with to maintain warranty coverage.
  • Create PM checklists for specific equipment and tasks to be used by maintenance personnel, monitor compliance, and revise as needed.
  • Oversee "Extra Work" requests for approval, as required, for tasks outside the scope of work (such as repairs due to damage or destruction due to natural disasters, etc.)
  • Ensure monthly metrics are reviewed and published timely.
  • Create inventory equipment lists and tracking documents for various equipment, systems, property, certifications, warranties, etc.
  • Equipment Inventory / Asset Manangement List - The Equipment Inventory list will list all equipment "In Service" and equipment "Temporarily Out of Service." Separate reports can be run for equipment that has or will be "Removed From Service”.
  • Property & Parts Inventory — Includes a listing of spare parts, supplies and materials on hand, and the storage location for each item.
  • Review (and write as needed) contracts/amendments and assisting with vendor insurance compliance.
  • Review and approve monthly invoicing for proper submittal compliance.
  • Review and approve monthly Departmental financial reports
  • Review and sign incident reports. Assist with claims handling and additional information requests from insurance carriers or other third parties.
  • Compile Department annual budgets.
  • Compile Capital Expense Budget as well as provide updates on spending to plan.
  • Assign and monitor staffing schedules and performance (in-house and 3rd party).
  • Review and send weekly/monthly reports to project manager.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required; troubleshoot issues to determine cause and identify corrective solution.


  • Bachelores Degree Engineering (IE industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, ect.)
  • Five to seven years of experience in a technical Facility, Maintenance and Production support role.
  • Knowledge of Facility Equipment, & systems operations and maintenance requirements.
  • Excellent Leadership / managerial skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills – English and Spanish
  • Analytical skills to evaluate data and make operational decisions.
  • Team Player, Multi-Tasker, High Degree of Integrity and Honesty
  • Experience with and knowledgeable of health and safety standards
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices
  • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices
  • Knowledge of Business financial principles (Budgets, EBITA, Capital Expense Planning, etc).
  • Knowledge of Quality Compliance cGMP and OSHA regulations.
  • Computer / Software skills.
  • Familiarity with County / State Permitting
  • Ability to assess / review Technical documents; IE Specifications, Blueprints.
  • Familiarity with Production, Electro-mechanical, pneumatic equipment; IE tube fillers, Bottle fillers, conveyors, capping equipment, Reactors / Blending Kettles, Pumps
