Job Summary

The Promotions Forecasting Analyst is responsible for interacting cross functionally with Operations, Brand teams, marketing, sales, and Finance to coordinate and oversee the collaborative development of product forecast for assigned brands. This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and forecasting process to positively impact out – of- stocks, shrink, on shelf availability, sales, and margin. This person will have a high level of data analytics and problem-solving skills and be versed in best practice demand forecast methods. This person will report to the Director or Global Strategic Planning.


  • Partner with Marketing team/international market owners in item selection and all inventory management associated with promotional campaigns.
  • Coordinate with director of planning and 3rd party manufacturing in forecasting promotional inventory needs and to delivery promotional sales targets.
  • Manage execution of promotional activities with the operations team.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of item promotions and use these findings to identify improvements.
  • Support for ad hoc analysis and the development of tool and reporting.
  • Work with merchandising, pricing, and supply chain teams to understand business dynamics, goals, and challenges to promote incremental sales and gross margin.
  • Participate in developing promotional content and forecasting inventory needs to support sales.
  • Build collaborative relationships with international teams.                             
  • Achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain.                        
  • Monitor trends in forecast error in promotions.   
  • Coordinate end of life cycle with the marketing product owners.
  • Support with necessary data and reporting for new product forecasting


  • BS degree from an accredited college/university. Degree in mathematics, Business, or related field preferred
  • Two (2) to five (5) years as a forecasting analyst, promotional analyst, or inventory analyst
  • Proven ability to perform in – depth data analysis and present insights in a clear manner.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Excel and Power Point for data analysis and presentations.
  • Listen well and seeks input from others. Knows how to effectively communicate and sell his/her ideas at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
