Job Summary

The Quality Control Manager is responsible to oversee and manage all the quality control processes, systems and technology to ensure all product meets our product quality standards.  The scope of work includes the packaging, finished goods, accessories, release processes, shipping, product development, customer complaints within MONAT distribution centers.  The Quality Control Manager is also responsible to understand and work within all regulatory agencies’ quality requirements for each MONAT global market.  This position will strive to influence and change supply chain and product development processes to deliver quality products while increasing productivity and reducing overall cost. This position will support MONAT safety program.


  • Oversee all quality inspections results for incoming goods, work in process and shipping of customer orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage, investigate and identify root cause Quality Control deviances within quality inspections and day to day operations.
  • Ensure that the operations, processes and procedures that affect product quality and/or integrity comply with standards stablished by the company.
  • Manage and drive QC initiatives to improve Quality Performance regarding, packaging supplies, finished goods, and marketing materials.
  • Develop and implement procedures and systems to ensure high quality standards, including basic policies, programs and methodologies to ensure quality product of finished goods, packaging.
  • Use all quality data to conduct trend analysis to proactively prevent Quality Control issues. Setting KPIs for the department and individuals within department. Review monthly Quality Control KPIs with Operations division.
  • Develops and maintains all SOPs for the quality program. Maintain Records of quality control issues.
  • Attend Quality Control training and certification for dietary supplements, OTC drugs and cosmetic products.  
  • Manage, coach and train staff in Quality Control procedures. Maintain Training Records.
  • Create coaching plans to address individual’s performance needs. Conduct 1x1 meetings with direct reports.
  • Manage Supplier Quality standards to ensure they meet or exceed expectations.


  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.  Preferred degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field in engineering or business.
  • 3 to 5 years of quality experience with one of the following cosmetics, dietary supplements and OTC drugs
  • 3 to 5 years of managing people
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail with a strong level of precision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills
  • Able to provide leadership to promote quality concepts/principles to develop and maintain MONAT Quality Management System
  • Experience with FDA regulatory audits
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standard and certification process
  • Experience with vendor quality audits + scorecards
  • English is required. Bilingual (English + Spanish) candidates preferred
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt preferred
