Job Summary

The Senior Global Inventory Manager is responsible for maintaining a perpetual record integrity to ensure the inventory accuracy within the facility while maximizing space utilization, including budget, product movement, warehouse conditions, proper inventory levels, export shipping, training of warehouse staff, control/isolates non-conforming product (damage) as defined by company policies. The Senior Global Inventory Manager develops staff, oversees the functions performed by inventory associates, and provides leadership as well as serve as an operational resource expert


  • Lead cross-functional inventory control projects and ensure all parties maintain focus for timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Be a company "influencer" to successfully accomplish projects and initiatives
  • Audit processes to ensure proper inventory valuation and reconciliation
  • Manage physical inventories and the cycle-count inventory process, stock rotation, external storage and product transfer
  • Compile cost reporting on poor quality (scrap product) for senior management review and work with the Procurement staff to recover costs from vendors associated with poor quality
  • Implement company-wide robust inventory control procedures following industry best practices
  • Develop procedures to improve inventory traceability
  • Distributes monthly reports that outline metric and audit results
  • Ensure training of the inventory control team, to develop their skill set
  • Complete regular audits of inventory locations
  • Manages development roadmap to address all open issues and support improvement plans
  • Develops resolution to open book-to-book issues with our internal/external partners
  • Manage product dating, efficient warehouse space utilization, and product slotting
  • Implement lot management control through SAP
  • Complete performance management of all direct reports
  • Liaison with buyers and coordinate activities to ensure budgeted inventory levels
  • Manage disposition of discontinued items
  • Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.
  • Partners with leadership team to communicate policies and procedures
  • Work with and support our Monat Global facilities, assure all inventory processes are being adhere to and implement an audit process to check SOP compliance
  • Create, Maintain and Audit a cycle count program that will count all stocking locations 4 times a year
  • Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems
  • Manages the inbound operation of the Monat Doral Facilities to ensure all receiving, storing, handling and administrative tasks are met while continually seeking feedback and improving processes to improve overall efficiency
  • Plans and directs all receiving, storing, movement, replenishment, handling, and administrative tasks to ensure all company requirements are met.
  • Ensures correct shipment has been delivered and all product received is accurately recorded in system
  • Main point of contact for all inquiries regarding receiving. Works with internal partners (Accounts Payable and Purchasing) and vendors regarding orders received. Answers questions and provides information to resolve any outstanding issues in a timely manner. Communicates discrepancies to appropriate individuals which many include Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Vendors, other facility staff
  • Adheres to all protocol regarding the receipt of documents receipt appropriately, confirms shipments are accurate and approvals are obtained prior to distribution; follows up on outstanding approval requests to meet the needs of customer.
  • Keep accurate records, provides information and answers questions
  • Responsible for all inventory movements within the facility storage locations, including receiving of goods, put away, replenishment to the pick lines and assembly.
  • Schedules all inbound shipments and is main point of contact for carriers regarding initial scheduling and changes.
  • Participates on facility management team; develops action plans for conducting internal analyses and gap identification. Conducts observations to identify areas for change; conducts analyses to develop action plans to address operational and employee needs
  • Ensures the timely and accurate processing of all inbound freight
  • Maintain safe work practices
  • Maximize warehouse space and ensure efficient product slotting
  • Operates and maintains certification for material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet-jacks, as required
  • Monitors warehouse expenses and recommends more efficient methods to reduce the overall cost of operations
  • Establish and implement operational policies and procedures including but not limited to production, and receiving, as it relates to the warehouse
  • Manages Receiver’s performance, including performance evaluations, training, development, coaching, disciplinary action, and attendance management.
  • Managing and overseeing all international shipments and determining shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet schedules.
  • Assure timely preparation for shipment orders, including International Documentation and packaging of orders, with strong attention to detail.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar 5 years of inventory control experience, including supervisory or managerial experience
  • Experienced in SAP
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • A strong sense of ownership over work and results
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated work style with excellent analytical and math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the of Monat Global Management
  • Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
