Job Summary

Monat Global is seeking an Associate Counsel, Corporate to join our growing Legal & Compliance team in Miami, Florida.  Candidates must have a minimum 3-4 years of legal experience, ideally working in-house in a corporate setting or in a law firm environment. We are looking for a “generalist” who is excited to jump into a fast-paced environment, roll up their sleeves and take on numerous different aspects of legal work.  The ideal candidate must have experience in, or be eager to learn, different aspects of legal and compliance work including but not limited to: (i) international expansion, (ii) not for profit law, (iii) product claims, (iv) insurance matters, (v) corporate and commercial matters and other areas of the law related to the Monat business.  Competitive candidates must be detailed oriented, adaptable, and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic work environment where priorities can quickly change.  This role is currently deemed a hybrid role.


  • Research, guide and execute on all aspects of international market expansion and emerging market growth.
  • In coordination with local legal and regulatory consultants, provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams, while advising on emerging trends and regulations in the new market, enabling a proactive approach and planning for future international market needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on regulatory changes and the direct selling landscape.
  • Work as a member of the Gratitude team (Monat’s charitable arm) in support of the team and the nonprofit organization activities to support overall fundraising, special events logistics, communications, marketing, and other organizational objectives as needed.
  • Review, prepare and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts.
  • Support and lead (as needed) all aspects of Monat’s insurance program and policies.
  • Review marketing assets and product labels to ensure product claims are proper and compliant.


  • Law degree from a top-ranked law school, admission to the bar of at least one state, and willingness to be admitted as authorized in house counsel in Florida.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of legal experience working in an in-house setting or law firm setting.
  • Large law firm experience preferred.
  • Experience in beauty, cosmetics or direct selling preferred.
  • Experience with international expansion work strongly preferred.
  • Some familiarity with nonprofit sector preferred
  • Well-organized, detailed oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
